THE KALI GANDAKI (The Holy River)
The Kaligandaki River is named after the Hindu goddess kali. The river origin from (upper Mustang) Tibetan plateaus. It tumbles down to the plains through Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges carving through one of the deepest Canyons in the world. The Kaligandaki is one of the Nepal's finest and most fun filled and medium length Rivers, merging great white Water with some of the Nepal's fine scenery and fascinating villages. It runs with clear and blue water and offers breathtaking mountain views.
This river is one of the most holy in Nepal and the way is dotted with cremation and burial grounds along with many small temples.
Kaligandaki River Rafting offers a great range of rapids and gives you technical and fun rafting. In the evening the camp will be on the pristine white water sands sand you will enjoy the quite over-night camp.

Itinerary - Kaligandaki River Rafting
Day 1. Arrive in Kathmandu :
Our representative will be waiting in the Nepal airport and transfer to Hotel. We will welcome to our city office and finalize the formalities. Brief the program and introduce the guide and other operator. Take an easy evening to stroll around. Over night in the Hotel.
Day 2. Kathmandu Sight seeing :
After the breakfast drive to sight seeing by car with guide to the world heritage sites (Pashupatinath- Hindu temple, Boudhanath - Buddhist stupa, Swyambhunath - Buddhist Stupa and Patan Durbar Square). Back to Hotel and free in the evening. We will prepare the documents and other paper work to your trek. Over night in the Hotel. BB
Day 3. Drive to Pokhara
Day 4. After breakfast we will drive to Beni for around 4 hours
Upon arrival, we unload all the equipment and you will receive a full safety briefing. Have lunch and then the guide will take you to the river. First day after the 10/15 minutes rafting you will be encountering 2 big class 4 rapids i.e. 'Small Brother' and 'Big Brother'. Your guide will be making you work hard at doing exercises to work as a team maneuvering the raft efficiently. Soon after encountering these two big rapids we will reach the Modi Khola confluence where we will choose the beach for the evening campsite. Dinner will be served in the river bank and sleep at the tent.
Day 5. After the breakfast and rafts are packed
we start down the river for a day mixed with adrenaline calm and spectacular scenery including views of Annapurnna 1 and Himachuli. We will tackle many class III sections and the challenging class IV named REFUND. This section of river is abundant with vines, wildlife and lush vegetation hanging from the cliff faces. Our campsite is below the village of Purti Ghat.
Day 6. After being back on the water we reach the holy village of Seti Beni
Today you will have some exciting rapid and soon you will be at last point of the trip. We load up the gear and prepare for the bus journey back to Pokhara.
Day 7. Drive back to Kathmnadu
Day 8. Drive to airport and fly back to Home/ join other trek tour :
We will transfer to airport and take a flight to home. Home sweet home.
