Khape Glacier Trek

Just left and isolated from Giant mt. Dhaulagiri and attached with the Nepals only one hunting reserve area, Gurja Gaun (Magar ethnic village) is situated in the lap of Gurja Himal 7193m and Puta chuli7246m. Kaphe Glacier trek passes through unique and picturesque village. It is considered as a non touristy area. The caravan of sheep and yak can be viewed while passing the trek. They move with the caravan as the season change, up in summer and down in winter to graze them. The innocent necked children can come to welcome and expect some chocolate and pencils instead.

Khape Glacier trek is designed to escape from the crowd (western) and enjoy the self explore.

Itinerary - Khape Glacier Trek

Day 1. Arrive in Kathmandu :

Our representative will be waiting in the Nepal airport and transfer to Hotel. We will welcome to our city office and finalize the formalities. Brief the program and introduce the guide and other operator. Take an easy evening to stroll around. Our company will offer a traditional Nepali dinner. Over night in the Hotel.

Day 2. Kathmandu Sight seeing :

After the breakfast drive to sight seeing by car with guide to the world heritage sites (Pashupatinath- Hindu temple, Boudhanath - Buddhist stupa, Swyambhunath - Buddhist Stupa and Patan Durbar Square). Back to Hotel and free in the evening. Over night in the Hotel. BB

Day 3. Drive to Beni 7 hrs:

Wake up early in the morning 6AM and take a early breakfast. Our trekking guide will led you to a regular bus to Beni at which leave at 7:00AM. It will take approximately 7hr. Arrive in Beni and rest at the guest house. Free evening around side. Over night in the Guest House.

Day 4. Drive to Babiyachour and Trek to Darbang 1180m :

We will ride a local jeep for one hour and trek to Darbang through the Myagdi River valley. Enjoy the stone roofed local houses.

Day 5. Trek to Lumsung 2100m 6hrs :

Trek to Sibang and break for lunch. ON the way enjoy the Giant Dhaulariri view and localities. The trail ascends steeply and finally tiny Lumsang is quiet and pleasant to stop over night.

Day 6. Trek to Gurja Gaun 2665m, 5 hr :

This is the last village while going to Kaphe Glacier trek. Compare to yesterday today be easy and smooth to trek. We will arrive at big Magar village where the children will come to welcome you with bare foot. The major occupation is farming in this village so each house can have many sheep.

Day 7. Explore Gurja Gaun :

Today will be the explore village and boost up to hunt the Kaphe Glacier. We will take a easy day exploring the village, children and houses. The hanging corns and pumpkins in the roof are interesting.

Day 8. Trek to Daraninge Kharka 2940m, 4 hr :

The trail is considered bit hard as it follow the through the ridge. We will have a short walk today. We will have a nice view of Mt. Dhaulagir, Gurja Himal, Puta Chuli and other peaks. Overnight in the camp. Dinner will be in our kitchen.

Day 9. Trek to Budzunge kharka 4085m, 5 hr :

Walking with a small trail though the ridge and enjoying the Magdi valley and giant Himalayan view from Budzunga Bara 4300, and descend to Kharka. Over night at the camp. Dinner will be supply from our kitchen.

Day 10. Trek to Kaphe Khola 4160m 5 hr :

Trek to Kaphe Khola is short in don't go very high. We will arrive at the camp for the lunch. Take a Himalayan view and rest at the camp. Dinner will in the camp and rest.

Day 11. Hike to Kaphe Glacier 4460m and back to Darasing Kharka :

We will wake you up early morning and take a light breakfast and hike to Kaphe Glacier. Enjoy the view of Gurja Himal, Dhaularigi, Mana Pathi Himal, Putha Chuli and many other peaks and back to Darasing Kharka. We will have a pack lunch and dinner will be serving from our kitchen.

Day 12. Trek to Gurja Gaun :

Trek back to Gurja Gaun. Over night at the local house/ camp.

Day 13. Trek to Lumsang :

Trek back to Gurja Gaun. Over night at the local house/ camp.

Day 14. Trek to Takam :

Trek back to Gurja Gaun. Over night at the local house/ camp.

Day 15. Trek to Beni :

Trek back to Gurja Gaun. Over night at the local house.

Day 16. Drive to Pokhara :

Have a breakfast and trek to Nayapul where our car will be waiting to us and drive back to Pokhara. Take an easy walk around the lake side and after dinner have a good sleep. Lunch will be provided and dinner will be self. Over night at the hotel.

Day 17. Drive to Kathmnadu :

Take a early breakfast and take regular tourist bus to Kathmnadu at 7:30 from Pokhara to Kathmnadu. Free evening in Kathmnadu. Optional walk down to Kathmandu durbar square. Over night in the hotel.

Day 18. Optional :

Morning visit the kali temple lies in the south of Kathmandu. Over night in the Hotel and in the after noon free for shoping.

Day 19. Drive to airport and fly back to Home :

We will transfer to airport and take a flight to home. Home sweet home
