Everest Base Camp Trek

Trek to Everest base camp passes through the picturesque village like Namche, Khumjung, Thame or etc. This trek offers special view of the Mt. Everest from the closer point called Kalapatter 5550m. Kalapatter is a hiking from Gorekshep where EBC trekkers stop for the last night. From kalapatter the view of the Everest is seems in between Lhotse and Nuptse which is the most popular picture of Everest. Temperature in Everest Base Camp trek is expected bellow than zero almost all season. While passing the trail to the EBC there are many monasteries including Tengboache monastery. The trail passes with the carved Mani stone, Prayer flags, Prayer wheels and singing prayers for everyone's well-being. Lodges are available while on trekking. Experience Sherpa guide would be much worthy in trek.

This trek offer you The worlds highest peak Mt Everest 8848m, Cho-Oyu 8201m, Makalu, Xisapangma, Lotse, Pumori 7145m., Amadablam 6885m. and many other Khumvu Himalayan peaks.
Difficulties:
It is considered as a easy trekking and a short trek as it can be finished in 5 or less days as well as. It starts from Pokhara and end in Pokhara. It can be combined with Annapurna Base camp trek, Jomsom Trek or Annapurna Circuit.
Flora and fauna:
Annapurna Conservation Area is rich in natural resources and bio diversity. It has many different types of plants, flower including orchirds, vegetation and animal including Beer, Himalayan Tsar, Assam Monkey and many more. Many spices of butterfly are found in steamy low valleys at the begaining and ending part of trek.

Ghorepani area is popular to the Gurung and Magar people who are very reach in their culture and tradition. The man who are also known as Gurkas are mostly join in Army and women are very colorful.
Food Accommodation:
Ghorepani trek offer a tiny and comfortable lodge for sleep and food. as in the last days they seems very much professional to feed the hygienic food to the trekkers and clean rooms. There are attached bathroom single or double accommodation are also available.

Best time to Travel:

Itinerary of Everest Base Camp in Detail

Days 01:  Upon arrival in Kathmandu a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.

Days 02 : Kathmandu valley sight seeing with guide and prepare for the trek.

Days 03 : Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding

Days 04-05 : Trek to Namche Bazar / acclimatization day or spare day.

Days 06 : Trek to Tengboche

Days 07 : Trek to Dingboche

 Days 08 : Lobuche

Days 09 : Trek to Gorekshep

Days 10 : Hiking to  Kala Pattar 5550m. - Lobuche

Days 11 : Trek to Dingboache

Days 12 : Trek to Tengboache

Days 13 : Trek to Khumjung

 Days 14 : Trek to Monjo

Days 15 : Trek to Lukla along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla to catch your return flight to Kathmandu.

Day 16: Flight back to Kathmandu at the airport transfer to the Hotel. A free afternoon in Kathmandu

Days 17 : These are "cushion" days in case bad weather or other circumstances delay your return to Kathmandu. Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley or free for shopping days. O/N Hotel

Days 18 : Depart Kathmandu.

Our full board package cost includes the following:

  • Airport transfers (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

  • All land transfers as per itinerary to trek. (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

  • Domestic flights and departure taxes as per itinerary.

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on the trek. Meals on camping treks will prepared by AATE  and served from our dinning room tent. In lodge based treks all meals will be provided from the lodges along the way.

  • All lodge accommodations, tenting fees.

  • Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park entrance fees.

  • Applicable trekking fees.

  • Porters and/or pack animal (one porter per two persons is provided to carry the clients personal effects)

  • Trekking equipment (For a lodge based trek a duffle Bag for your non-personnel gear. For camping based treks a tent (shared between two persons), mattress, sleeping bag, kitchen and dinning room tents and all kitchen utensils, toilet tent)

  • Trekking staff  (guide with government license holder and other assistant guides where applicable, cook, Sherpa and porter as per requirements).

  • Insurance for the trekking staff. (insurance as per state law)

  • First aid medical kit.  Check Hre

  • All the government tax and our (AATE) service charges.

  • Upon final payment AATE will provide pre-departure file including the detailed agreed itinerary, hotels and transport booked and introduce you to your trekking guide.

Our full board package does not include the following:

  • Personal trekking equipment  Equipment Check

  • All meals while in Kathmandu or in Pokhara.

  • Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, (they can be included upon request).

  • Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu, (they can be included upon request).

  • International flights and departure taxes.

  • Visa and passport fees (to entry and re entry). Nepal entry visa is US$30 for 60 days.

  • Your travel insurance (for travel, cancellation, accident, health, emergency evacuation and loss of life, theft of or damage to personal effects).

  • Tips and gratuities (crew frequently receives some recognition for good service)

  • Costs arising from unforeseen events outside the control of AATE.

  • Personal expenses such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, mineral water, monuments entrance fees, postage, laundry, video, camera, phone, etc.

  • The single supplements payable on all bookings where only one person is travelling.
