Ghorepani Poon Hill (3210m.) Trek

The most beautiful trek with the Himalayan (massif Annapurna and Dhaulagiri) view and a sunrise, is a Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. This is one of Short and sweet trek with many options. The trek can last for three day to one week as time and interest of the clients. The trek can is trekked round the year. This trek is most enjoyable while there is freshly snows in winter and rhododendron is much enjoyable in spring.

It also known as Poon Hill trek. It is one of be best view point to see the Himalayas and even in the world. It offers view of Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Machhepuchare (fishtail), Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu and many other peaks. Local people working in the agricultural field and harvesting can be another joy of the trek.
Difficulties:
It is considered as a easy trekking and a short trek as it can be finished in 5 or less Day as well as. It starts from Pokhara and end in Pokhara. It can be combined with Annapurna Base camp trek, Jomsom Trek or Annapurna Circuit.
Flora and fauna:
Annapurna Conservation Area is rich in natural resources and bio diversity. It has many different types of plants, flower including orchirds, vegetation and animal including Beer, Himalayan Tsar, Assam Monkey and many more. Many spices of butterfly are found in steamy low valleys at the begaining and ending part of trek.
People and culture:
Ghorepani area is popular to the Gurung and Magar people who are very reach in their culture and tradition. The man who are also known as Gurkas are mostly join in Army and women are very colorful.
Food Accommodation:
Ghorepani trek offer a tiny and comfortable lodge for sleep and food. as in the last Day they seems very much professional to feed the hygienic food to the trekkers and clean rooms. There are attached bathroom single or double accommodation are also available.

Best time to Travel:
Late September to mid December and Late February to end of May will be the best time. (March and April is the best to observe the Nepal's National flower Rhododendren)

This trek starts from Nayapul which is an hour drive from Pokhara and end in the same place. There are regular local transport and private charter service as well as. We can manage as your requirements and group size.

Itinerary of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek in Details

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. Hotel in Kathmandu can be as per your choice in town.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara and O/N in the Hotel. we will supply the hotel in Pokhara as per the clients requirements in town.

Day 03: Take a drive to Nayapul approximately 1:30m. and trek to Hile 1475m. approximately 4 hr. O/N in the lodge. Lunch will be on the way and dinner in the lodge.

Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2823m). O/N in the lodge (approx 7 hr) lunch break in the Ulleri village. Take a early sleep to wake up for tomorrow.

Day 05: Wake up at around 5:00AM and hike to Poon Hill 3210m. Hill to see the view of massif Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range and sunrise from the Himalayas. After the breakfast trek to Tadapani O/N in the lodge (approx 6 hr)

Day 06: Trek to Ghandruk O/N in the lodge (approx 5 hr) Take a little rest and walk around th village to observe the culture and life style of Gurung people. Gurung (Gurkhas) are one of the ethnic group who were fought in the second great world war as well as.

Day 07: Trek back to Pokhara O/N in the hotel. (approx 6 hr) and drive. Hotel will be as per the clients choice in the town.

Day 08: Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel or can join with another program.

Day 09: Final departure to airport. or join in another program.

  • Our full board package cost includes the following:

    • All land transfers as per itinerary to trek. (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

    • Domestic flights and departure taxes as per itinerary.

    • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on the trek.

    • Conservation Park entrance fees. and other applicable trekking fees.

    • Guide and Porters (one porter per two persons is provided to carry the clients personal effects)

    • Trekking equipment (For a lodge based trek a duffle Bag for your non-personnel gear. 

    • Insurance for the trekking staff. (insurance as per state law)

    • Upon final payment AATE will provide pre-departure file including the detailed agreed itinerary, hotels and transport booked and introduce you to your trekking guide
