Mountains & Monasteries Trek

This trek led you till the Tengboache Monastery 3870m around the Everest region. It is also a worlds highest Buddhist monasteries. Lamaistic Buddhism plays an integral part and is influential in the lives of these Sherpa people. Mountains of Khumbu - Everest (8848 m), Kwangde (6187 m) Ama Dablam (6812 m), Lhotse (8501 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) offer a stupendous backdrop for the experience a lifetime. En route Donkeys and yaks carrying loads and a porter are another interesting things. Trekkers can hold a day with the lamas chanting or puja in Tengboache monastery. There is one big festival is called Mani Rimdu is falls in around October is more enjoyable. In the festival time Lama perform dancing and other activities but it seems crowed. The trek remain opened around the year.

Itinerary of Mountains & Monasteries in Detail

Days 01:  Upon arrival in Kathmandu a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.

Days 02 : Free day in Kathmandu and prepare for the trekking on following day.

Day 03: Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Lukla. Meet with your sirdar and the rest of the crew. Trek to Phakding.

Days 04 : Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Lukla. Meet with your sirdar and the rest of the crew. Trek to Phakding.

Days 05 : Trek to Namche Bazar

Days 06 : Explore at Namche Bazzar

Days 07 : Trek to Tengboche

Days 08 : Trek to Khumjung

Days 09 : Trek to Thame

Days 10 : Trek to Monjo

Days 11 : Trek to Lukla along the gorge of the Dudh Kosi to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla to catch your return flight to Kathmandu.

Days 12 : Flight back to Kathmandu at the airport transfer to the Hotel. A free afternoon in Kathmandu.

Days 13 : These are "cushion" days in case bad weather or other circumstances delay your return to Kathmandu. Otherwise, they can be used for sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley or free for shopping days. O/N Hotel

Days 14 : Depart Katmandu.

Our full board package cost includes the following:

  • Airport transfers (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

  • All land transfers as per itinerary to trek. (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

  • Domestic flights and departure taxes as per itinerary.

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on the trek. Meals on camping treks will prepared by AATE  and served from our dinning room tent. In lodge based treks all meals will be provided from the lodges along the way.

  • All lodge accommodations, tenting fees.

  • Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park entrance fees.

  • Applicable trekking fees.

  • Porters and/or pack animal (one porter per two persons is provided to carry the clients personal effects)

  • Trekking equipment (For a lodge based trek a duffle Bag for your non-personnel gear. For camping based treks a tent (shared between two persons), mattress, sleeping bag, kitchen and dinning room tents and all kitchen utensils, toilet tent)

  • Trekking staff  (guide with government license holder and other assistant guides where applicable, cook, Sherpa and porter as per requirements).

  • Insurance for the trekking staff. (insurance as per state law)

  • First aid medical kit. Check Here

  • All the government tax and our (AATE) service charges.

  • Upon final payment AATE will provide pre-departure file including the detailed agreed itinerary, hotels and transport booked and introduce you to your trekking guide.

Our full board package does not include the following:

  • Personal trekking equipment  Equipment Check

  • All meals while in Kathmandu or in Pokhara.

  • Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, (they can be included upon request).

  • Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu, (they can be included upon request).

  • International flights and departure taxes.

  • Visa and passport fees (to entry and re entry). Nepal entry visa is US$30 for 60 days.

  • Your travel insurance (for travel, cancellation, accident, health, emergency evacuation and loss of life, theft of or damage to personal effects).

  • Tips and gratuities (crew frequently receives some recognition for good service)

  • Costs arising from unforeseen events outside the control of AATE.

  • Personal expenses such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, mineral water, monuments entrance fees, postage, laundry, video, camera, phone, etc.

  • The single supplements payable on all bookings where only one person is travelling.

  • Gratuities for services provided on a personal basis.

  • All other services not included in the  "cost includes" section above.
