Kanchanjunga Trek

Kanchanjunga (8585m) is the worlds third highest mountain. The avalanches that Kanchanjunga throws down are said to be the largest anywhere!. Kanchanjunga trek mainly led to two destination north base camp Pangpema and south Base camp Ramje. Some trekkers would like to combine the both base camp crossing the Selele Pass. Selele Pass is the hard pass in Nepal Himalayas as it has other two pass together called Mirgin La and Sinelapche La pass before getting the Cheram. North Base Camp of Kanchanjunga, Pangpema has the majestic view. The lower part of the trek will be passing by the rhododendron mixed forest. If the trekking time is in March and April the rhododendron will have full blooms. There are many different colors of rhododendron in Kanchanjunga area. This trek remain closed in the deep winter. Kanchanjunga trek have two option to start which is fly to Taplejung or drive. Kanchanjunga trekking is an demanding one which needs completely organized. To avoid the mountain sickness there is a rest day in Ghunsa. The upper part of Kanchanjunga is a Tibetan influence. People deeply believe in Buddhism. Itinerary of Kanchanjunga Trek in Detail

Days 01:  Upon arrival in Kathmandu are preventative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.

Days 02 : Free day in Kathmandu to make the final preparations for your trek or do some exploring on your own. We will be happy to arrange sightseeing tours of the valley for you if you desire. O/N Hotel

Days 03 : Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Taplejung. Meet with your sirdar and the rest of the crew.

Days 04 : Trek to Lalikharka.

Days 05 : Trek to Khesawa (2200m).

Days 06 : Trek to Mamamkhe (1790m).

Days 07 : Trek to Yamphudin (2320m).

Days 08 : Trek to Amji Kharka.

Days 09 : Trek to Throng Den.

Days 10 : Trek to Tseram

Days 11 : Trek to Ramjee.

Days 12 : Rest and Acclimatization.

Days 13 : Trek to Tseram.

Days 14 : Trek to Langpa Sarpa (4700m).

Days 15 : Ghungsha (3200m).

Days 16 : Trek to Kyapra.

Days 17 : Trek to Amjilassa.

Days 18 : Trek to Ghaiyabari.

Days 19 : Trek to Chirwa.

Days 20 : Trek to Miltung.

Days 21 : Trek to Dovan.

Days 22 : Trek to Sangu.

Days 23 : Trek to Nundhaki.

Days 24 : Trek to Chainpur.

Days 25 : Trek to Tumlingtar.

Days 26 : Fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to the Hotel. A free afternoon in Kathmandu

Days 27 : In Kathmandu. This is a cushion day that has been built into the itinerary to allow for delays due to flights or other reasons beyond our control. If you are able to complete your trek in time then this day may be used for sight seeing around Kathmandu Valley or free for shopping days. O/N Hotel.

Our full board package includes the following:

  • Airport transfers (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

  • All land transfers as per itinerary to trek. (by private car, van or bus as per group size)

  • Domestic flights and departure taxes as per itinerary.

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on a camping trek that will prepared by AATE  and served from our dinning room.

  • Kanchanjunga Conservation Park entrance fees.

  • Applicable trekking fees. (Special permit for Kanchanjunga)

  • Porters and/or pack animal (one porter per two persons is provided to carry the clients personal effects)

  • Trekking equipment (duffle Bag for your gear and for camping based treks tent, mattress, sleeping bag, kitchen and dinning room tents and all kitchen utensils, toilet tent)

  • Trekking staff  (guide with government license holder and other assistant guides where applicable, cook, Sherpa and porter as per requirements).

  • Insurance for the trekking staff. (insurance as per state law)

  • Upon final payment AATE will provide pre-departure file including the detailed agreed itinerary, hotels and transport booked and introduce you to your trekking guide.

Our full board package does not include the following:

  • Personal trekking equipment  Equipment Check

  • All meals while in Kathmandu or in Pokhara.

  • Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara, (they can be included upon request).

  • International flights and departure taxes

  • Visa and passport fees (to entry and re entry). Nepal entry visa is US$30 for 30 days.

  • Your travel insurance (for travel, cancellation, accident, health, emergency evacuation and loss of life, theft of or damage to personal effects).

  • Tips and gratuities (crew frequently receives some recognition for good service)

  • Costs arising from unforeseen events outside the control of AATE.

  • Personal expenses such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, mineral water, monuments entrance fees, postage, laundry, video, camera, phone, etc.

  • The single supplements payable on all bookings where only one person is travelling.

  • Gratuities for services provided on a personal basis.

  • All other services not included in the  "cost included" section above.
