The north of Kagbeni village is recognized
as Upper Mustang trek (Lo-Manthang) which is the
region of Tibetan influence. The ancient
kingdom of Mustang- the capital of Lo-Manthang
was attached to Tibet in the ancient time.
It is also called the lost forbidden kingdom
of Tibet. The trek to Lo Manthang is through
an almost treeless barren landscape. Upper
Mustang has many monasteries form the 14th
century, Buddhist shrines, Thankas, Mandalas,
and Deities in and around the clief. It is
believed that there are many caves where
Tibetan masters have meditated. It is also
called a small Tibet in Nepal where trekkers
can see the Tibetan Buddhism and remaining
of Bon Po. The trek to Upper Mustang goes to
the elevation of 3730m but winter is
freezing. The best time to do Trekking in
Upper Mustang is July and August. The trek
is completely organizing. Lo- Mnathang
retained as its identity as an autonomous
dynasty throughout the centuries that the
present King is – Jigme Prabal Bista, can be
a memorable time to have a coffee and chat.
Upper Mustang trek is remain as a controlled
trekking area. It requires a special
trekking permit to do trekking here. Alpine

Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu
are preventative will meet you at the

Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu to make
the final preparations for your trek or do
some exploring on your own. We will be happy
to arrange sight seeing tours of the valley

Day 03: Flight to Pokhara. O / N hotel.A

Day 04: Early morning transfer to
airport for flight to Jomsom. Meet with your sirdar
and the rest of the crew. Trek to Kagbeni. |
Day 05: Trek to Chele 3050m. |

Day 06: Trek to Ghiling 3570m. |
Day 07: Trek to Tsarang 3560m. |

Day 08: Trek to Lo Manthang 3700m |

Day 18: In Kathmandu. This is a
cushion day that has been built into the
itinerary to allow for delays due to flights
or other reasons beyond our control. If you
are able to complete your trek in time then
this day may be used for sight seeing around
Kathmandu Valley. or free for shopping Day.

Our full board package cost includes the
following:

Airport transfers (by private car, van
or bus as per group size)

trek. (by private car, van or bus as per

whilst on the trek. Meals on camping
treks will prepared by AATE and served
from our dinning room tent. In lodge
based treks all meals will be provided
from the lodges along the way.

Porters and/or pack animal (one porter
per two persons is provided to carry the
clients personal effects)

Trekking equipment (For a lodge based
trek a duffle Bag for your non-personnel

tents and all kitchen utensils, toilet

Trekking staff (guide with government
license holder and other assistant
guides where applicable, cook, Sherpa
and porter as per requirements).
