Tamang Heritage Trek

Tamang Heritage Trek is a newly opened trekkers route where you will enjoy with the Tamang culture and tradition with the Himalayan peaks. The Tamang Heritage Trekking trail will follow maximum 3165 meter high.

After riding 5-6 hrs to Syabrubesi, Tamang Heritage trek will start to North West. En route trek will pass through cultural (Timure, Briddim) Tamang villages. Where as Goljung and Gatlang are more traditional. The shamanism is still another interesting culture in Tamang Heritage trail.

While Goljung has ancient monastery, Gatlang set high on a hillside among terraced fields is the Tamang settlement.

On the way of Tamang Heritage trekking, bathing in the hot spring, healing waters of the natural spring at Tatopani en route from Gatlang to Chilime is an exhilarating Experience. From the viewpoint at Bahundanda near these settlements, one can also see a panoramic view of Lantang, Kerung, and the Ganesh Himalayan ranges.

Tamang hospitality at the home-stays run by community members are memorable experience. In addition, visitors can also visit local monasteries of Dukchu Gomba.
