Tumlingtar to Lukla Trek
This is a traditional trade route to upper Khumbu via Tibet. Tumlingtar to Lukla trek begins from Tumlingtar and follows the Arun River until we turn into the Irkhu Khola valley. This valley takes us to the Salpa. The Salpa Pass trail is an interesting to walk into the Khumbu (Everest) region following the unique ecology of the Pass towards the holy lake Salpa Pokhari.
During Tumlingtar to Lukla trek, you will find Rai and Sherpa people settled in this area. The highest trekking point in this route is Salpa Banjang at 3800 meter high and the highest camp site is at Salpa Kharka at 3600m.
Tumlingtar to Lukla trek is almost easy which offers you superb views of Mera Peak, Everest, Makalu, and so many others at mighty height above the paddy fields, and dark forests.

Itinerary - Tumlingtar to Lukla Trek
Day 1. Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 2. Kathmandu Sightseeing
Day 3. Kathmandu to Tumlingtar by flight and overnight at camp in Chewabesi 600m around 3hrs.
Day 4. Chewabesi to Ghothe Bazar 1700m.
Day 5. Gothe Bazar to Jhaubari (jaubarui) 1900m. Between Phedi and Salpa Bhanjang because it is good for next day.
Day 6. Jhaubari to Sonam 2500m. After crossing the Salpa Bhangang
Day 7. Sonam to Bung 2000m.
Day 8. Bung to Ghai Kharka (Gai Kharaka) 3500m.
Day 9. Ghai Kharka to Dodh pokhari 4765m.
Day 10. Dodh pokhari 4765m. Rest
Day 11. Dodh pokhari to Kote 4700m. (Crossing the old camping site Tashing dingma)
Day 12. Kot to Zetra –la pass and over night
Day 13. Trek down to Lukla
Day 14. Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 15. Rest in Kathmandu
Day 16. Fly back to Home or join another trek tour.
Package Cost Includes - Tumlingtar to Lukla Trek
• All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on the trek.
• All the land transfer as per itinerary.
• Lodge accommodations in trekking on twin sharing (bathroom outside)
• Applicable trekking fees.
• Guide and Porters (one porter per two persons is provided to carry the clients personal effects)
• Domestic flight to and from.
• Insurance for the trekking staff. (insurance as per state law)
